Severely Punish Individuals Accused of Gruesomely Killing Over 90 Animals for Profit

Target: Matt Wiebe, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Manitoba

Goal: Ensure all individuals involved in the alleged heinous torture of more than 90 animals are held accountable and face appropriate consequences.

The shocking confessions of Irene Lima and Chad Kabecz, who admitted to torturing and killing over 90 animals for profit, is a harrowing reminder of the cruelty that exists in our society. Allegedly, they created and sold graphic videos depicting the gruesome crushing of innocent animals, including more than 60 cats and kittens, birds, rabbits, and other creatures, in a Telegram group dedicated to such depravity. Their actions, highlighted by a judge as “beyond anything” he had seen in his career, seemingly involved a calculated approach to animal torture that included a price list for the sickening acts, ranging from $5 for a baby mouse to $180 for a family of kittens.

The details emerging from the case are horrifying. Lima and Kabecz allegedly found pleasure in their violent actions, as described in entries from Lima’s diary where she expressed her love for killing and the thrill it brought her. The disturbing nature of their reported activities, which reportedly included a sexual component and were shared on the dark web, raises serious concerns about the psychological implications of their behavior. It is crucial to recognize that the ban on any future animal contact is insufficient; these individuals, and anyone else who would engage in or facilitate such atrocities, must face severe legal consequences to deter any similar incidents in the future.

Demanding justice is essential not only for the animals that suffered but also for the community that deserves assurance that such acts of cruelty will not go unpunished. It is imperative for those in power to take decisive action against animal cruelty, reinforcing that such barbarity has no place in our society and ensuring that all responsible parties are thoroughly prosecuted and penalized.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Wiebe,

The recent sentencing of Irene Lima and Chad Kabecz for appalling acts of animal cruelty raises grave concerns about the severity of their punishment in relation to the unjustified suffering inflicted upon more than 90 helpless animals. As reported, these individuals created and disseminated videos of torturing and killing various innocent creatures, including cats, rabbits, and birds, for their own profit and twisted satisfaction. Their actions, described as horrifying by a judge, warrant a full review of the legal consequences faced by all involved.

The graphic nature of their alleged crimes can never be understated. Expressing remorse after admitting to such heinous acts does not absolve them of the responsibility to face the consequences that befit their egregious actions. It is of utmost importance that the Manitoba justice system sends a clear message that animal cruelty and exploitation will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Therefore, we urge you to ensure that not only Lima and Kabecz but any individuals found complicit in similar distressing acts face appropriate legal action. Justice for the animals must be served to deter future occurrences of such cruelty and to protect innocent lives. Take a stand against the heinous crimes of animal cruelty by reinforcing that all offenders will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Sincerely,
