Mary Anne Halahuni Gamble and Fred Gamble were arrested on multiple counts of felony animal cruelty after it was allegedly discovered that they were illegally breeding Shiba Inu puppies and neglecting their health. Five of the puppies were said to have been buried alive in their yard.
Upon further investigation, police also linked the Gambles to the dogs found in nearby Taylor Park, all of whom were diagnosed with parvovirus, a severe illness that can be fatal. It has been alleged that the couple sold puppies when they were already ill, leading to unnecessary suffering and even death for some of these innocent animals. Demand the State Attorney’s Office of Pinellas County pursue the maximum penalties available under the law against the Gambles.
