Target: The Right Honourable Grant Shapps MP, Secretary of State for Defence
Goal: End the alleged inhumane experiments on animals at Porton Down laboratory, including injecting viruses and exposing them to nerve agents.
Thousands of animals are reportedly being subjected to horrific experiments at the Porton Down, UK laboratory, sparking outrage and calls for accountability. Freedom of Information figures indicate that from 2021 to 2023, over 2,000 animals, including pigs, monkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice, were killed in tests that involved explosions, poisoning, and exposing these defenseless creatures to nerve agents. Prominent animal rights advocates, such as Dr. Julia Baines from PETA UK, have publicly condemned these actions, describing them as “archaic and appallingly cruel.” The practices reportedly include injecting deadly viruses into the brains of animals and forcing them to inhale poisonous gases, raising severe ethical concerns.
The MoD maintains these tests are essential for developing technologies meant to protect British troops. However, critics argue that with access to advanced technologies, these practices reflect a distressing reluctance to evolve. Reports suggest that the laboratory has involved shooting pigs and exposing them to mustard gas, effectively simulating battlefield injuries at the expense of innocent lives.
The purported use of such brutal methods is not only ethically unacceptable, but it also contravenes the global shift towards humane and technologically advanced research alternatives. Given the overwhelming public opposition to animal experimentation, it is imperative that the Ministry of Defence modernizes its practices. The demand is clear: halt the inhumane treatment of animals at Porton Down and adopt ethical, state-of-the-art alternatives to ensure that no more animals suffer for military research.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Secretary Shapps,
Recent reports have indicated alarming practices at the Porton Down laboratory, involving the killing of thousands of animals, including monkeys, pigs, and mice, in brutal experiments. These tests allegedly involve injecting deadly viruses, exposing animals to nerve agents, and simulating battlefield conditions through the use of explosives. Such actions, as reported by PETA UK and other animal rights organizations, reflect a shocking disregard for animal welfare and raise serious ethical concerns.
While the Ministry of Defence claims these procedures are necessary for life-saving research for British troops, it is hard to reconcile this with the clear evidence suggesting these methods are outdated and inhumane. The reported experiments have included inflicting significant psychological and physical trauma on numerous animals, which is distressing to many in the public and scientific communities alike. There are modern alternatives available that do not involve the painful suffering of sentient beings, which makes the ongoing practices all the more reprehensible.
We strongly urge you to take immediate action to end these alleged inhumane experiments at Porton Down laboratory. The commitment to protect animals in research must stand alongside the commitment to protect our soldiers; this can be achieved through adopting more humane and effective research practices that do not require animal suffering.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

It is NEVER right to use animals for these vile “experiments” but those who carry them out will fight to continue doing so,as they get some sadistic pleasure from it. There are plenty of human alternatives they could use, namely all the animal/child abusers who are kept comfortably in prison at the taxpayers expense. THEY should be used for this kind of thing and quietly “got rid of” afterwards. That would do the animals and us a favour….simple.
Those who carry out these vile experiments will fight to continue,as they derive some kind of sadistic pleasure from it. It can never be right to torture animals in the name of research and there are plenty of humans who could and should be used for this. The animal/child abusers who are being kept comfortably in prison courtesy of the taxpayer should be used for this and quietly got rid of afterwards…simple.
There is more than enough human experience from all the wars to learn from the human combatants involved – aand if all the injuries from all those wars aren’t enough, then use child abusers, animal abusers and murderers in prison to experiment on.
Time to move on FFS!!! There are many alternatives.. NO NEED To Torture Animals To Death!!!
The BEST alternative… How about all the EVIL MONSTER PSYCHOPATHS IN THIS WORLD… All The Evil fucks torturing, raping and murdering Innocent Humans & ALL Animals. These subhuman filthy trash DESERVE TO BE TORTURED TO DEATH!!! Then we wouldn’t have to be on here trying to stop all this evil shit!
