Success: Chris Matthews Resigns From MSNBC After Sexist and Antisemitic Comments

Target: Chris Matthews, former host of Hardball on MSNBC

Goal: Thank Chris Matthews for resigning from Hardball and making room for the younger generation.

Chris Matthews has resigned from his position as host of Hardball on MSNBC. After controversy involving antisemitic remarks he made about Bernie Sanders’ primary victory, and even more recent problems from a sexist attitude towards Elizabeth Warren, Matthews resigned on the air. This comes after pressure from activists, including a petition on ForceChange.

This goes to show that emphasis on accountability in journalism makes a difference. The world must know that misogyny or antisemitism from public figures will not be tolerated. Matthews’ resignation is a major success that has made room for a new generation to step in and speak their minds. Sign below to thank Matthews for stepping down.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Matthews,

We are very pleased to hear that you’ve decided to step down from your position on Hardball. Your heart may have been in the right place in your former position on MSNBC, but you are right to recognize that the times are changing and that your antiquated attitude towards and treatment of women is not acceptable.

We hope that in your retirement you will reflect on the mistakes you made and use your position to advocate for real change, including within your own generation. People can absolutely change for the better, and this is your opportunity to prove that you have heard the concerns of real believers in social justice and take them seriously.

Sincerely,

[ Your Name Here ]

It’s about time Matt Lamour starts to wake up and see what these fake news announcers are doing. They can’t be trusted even with their own party.
