Success: Medical Marijuana Legalized

Goal: Applaud legalization of medical marijuana.

Medical marijuana is now legal in yet another state as an Ohio bill has become law. With Governor John Kasich’s signature, the new law allows the drug to be prescribed for those in need.

By signing this bill into law, Ohio legislators have demonstrated an admirable commitment to progressive medical treatments. Long shunned by doctors because of its illegal recreational use, medical marijuana has been enjoying a renaissance as study after study extols the benefits of the drug while listing virtually zero negative side effects. Public support has also been growing in favor of the drug, as seen in this ForceChange petition.

Ohio becomes the 25th state with a legalized medical marijuana program, meaning America is now halfway to complete and total legalization of this beneficial drug.
