Urge Deceptive Governor Not to Run for President

Target: New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie

Goal: Condemn Governor Christie for deceiving the people of New Jersey and urge him not to run for president in 2016

In September of 2013, two busy access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey were closed for four days due to an alleged traffic study. Evidence has now surfaced that implicates New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who likely contributed to the lane closures as an act of political vengeance. At present, Christie is the GOP’s top runner for the 2016 presidency, but if his present behavior is indicative of his future leading abilities, the nation could be in trouble. Urge Governor Chris Christie not to run for president in 2016.

Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich recently accused Christie of deliberately closing down access lanes to the George Washington Bridge, the busiest overpass in the world. Colossal traffic jams ensued. Sokolich claimed that the Christie administration was getting revenge for Sokolich’s decision not to support the governor’s re-election effort. While the accusation sounded far-fetched at first, evidence has recently been uncovered that strongly suggests Christie had knowledge of the lane closures and, perhaps, was responsible for them.

In September, Christie approved 60 thousand dollars for a traffic study. After New York Port Authority officials testified that they were unaware of the study, two of Christie’s appointees resigned immediately. In addition to this oddity, incriminating emails from the Christie administration were uncovered.

“Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee,” Christie’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Bridget Anne Kelly, wrote to Port Authority David Wildstein weeks before the lanes were closed. Wildstein replied, “Got it.” Only when the emails were made public was Kelly fired.

An unidentified source also messaged Wildstein expressing guilt over stranding children on buses during the gridlock. Wildstein replied that the students were the “children of Buono voters,” implying that this fact made the incident permissible. He is currently asserting his right not to speak during a state legislative hearing.

Barbara Buono is a Democratic politician who lost to Christie in the 2013 gubernatorial elections.

Governor Chris Christie refuses to take responsibility and continues to deny he was involved, despite the overwhelming evidence suggesting otherwise. Encourage Christie to own up for the actions of his administration and mitigate the damage by pledging not to run for president in 2016.

Dear Governor Christie,

Evidence was recently uncovered that strongly suggests you and your administration were involved in the September, 2013 New Jersey lane closures. It is believed that this was an act of political revenge against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, who refused to endorse your re-election efforts in the past.  You must accept responsibility for this incident and make appropriate amends to those who were affected by it.

Since this vengeful act will undoubtedly scar your reputation, it would be best to end your political career now before more damage is done. Please give an honest and responsible Republican your place in the 2016 presidential race.
