Bring Vegan Pizza to American Restaurants

Target: CEO of Domino’s Pizza, J. Patrick Doyle

Goal: Add vegan pizza to the menu in American Domino’s Pizza restaurants

With veganism on the rise in the States, more health-conscious Americans are searching in vain to find menu items that align with their diets. Overseas in Israel, vegan lobbyers rallied for pizza, sans cheese, and came out victorious. Domino’s now supplies its Israel branches with a reasonably priced soy-based vegetable pizza, but claims it does not plan to extend the offer to Americans. Urge Domino’s to reconsider this decision and supply vegan pizza to the U.S.

Due to America’s insatiable appetite for cheese, pizza stores have upped their game by saturating dishes in more Mozzarella, Cheddar, and Parmesan than ever before. Average Americans today consume more than 34 pounds of cheese per person each year and they show no signs of slowing down. Vegans, a small minority, are left out of the mix when it comes to planning popular menu dishes, and oftentimes they are left with no options at all. Arguably, the increased presence of cheese-free menu items would benefit not only those who steer clear of animal by-products altogether, but also those who need a break from the ubiquitous presence of cheese.

Domino’s Pizza in Israel made a benevolent decision to offer the first ever vegan-friendly pizza in 50 different branches throughout the country. Now it is time to give American vegans more alternatives, and Domino’s Pizza has the power to lead the charge with this cruelty-free option that will undoubtedly be popular among vegans and non-vegans alike. In Israel, activists spoke out loudly about this issue by creating online groups to promote veganism, gaining thousands of followers. As a result, restaurants like Domino’s have begun to respond.

With enough support from American vegans, the same success can be achieved in the states. Urge Domino’s Pizza to offer vegan-friendly food in its American chains restaurants as well.

Dear CEO of Domino’s Pizza, J. Patrick Doyle,

I would like to thank you for your generous decision to provide consumers with the option to order vegan pizza in Domino’s restaurant chains throughout Israel. A vegan-friendly menu is not only inclusive, but it shows that you truly care about meeting the needs of your customers.

Now that veganism is becoming a popular diet in America, I humbly request that you extend your vegan menu to the United States as well. There are many who will gladly pay to purchase cruelty-free items like cheese-free pies. Please offer American consumers vegan pizza too.
