Prosecute Soldier Running Prostitution Ring

Target: President Barack Obama and the United States Senate

Goal: Prosecute the soldier who was in charge of running a prostitution ring and bring the issue of military rape to light

Many young women privates from Fort Hood in Killeen, TX testified in court that they were forced to prostitute themselves to their military superiors. The appalling news came when they said the officer they were pressing charges against was the officer in charge of preventing sexual assaults in the first place.

Sadly, the soldier who was in charge of the prostitution ring was not sentenced at all. The jury chose to believe him rather than the young women’s story, even though a second private has come forward and stated that he witnessed the soldier used abusive sexual contact in a prior interview process for the prostitution ring. There was another trial held against Master Sgt. Brad Grimes for having sex with a young female private but the charge was very minimal. What made things worse was that Sgt. Grimes would not testify against the other soldier.

Rape in the military is at staggering levels. Statistics show that in 2012, there were over 26,000 sexual assaults in the military, yet only a couple thousand were actually reported to authorities. The military needs to realize that these numbers are extraordinarily high and there needs to something done about it. Some victims choose not to come forward with their abuse because they know that nothing will be done about it.

Please sign this petition to prosecute the soldier in charge of this prostitution ring so that these incidents will occur less in the military.

Dear President Barack Obama and the United States Senate,

A horrific incident occurred in Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. They discovered that one of the soldiers was holding a prostitution ring and forcing young female privates to join it. The soldier in charge of all of this was supposed to be preventing sexual assaults from happening. When the victims brought him to court, he was not charged for his offenses and the head sergeant did not come forward with information he clearly knew about. This buddy system is inappropriate and thousands of women are suffering from it.

Please help us bring this incident to light and charge the soldier in charge of the prostitution ring and the other soldiers who participated in it.
