Target: Waitress Dayna Morales

Goal: Demand the truth from waitress Dayna Morales who has been accused of lying about homophobia incident at work

Recently, waitress Dayna Morales of the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, New Jersey, was accused of lying about a homophobic situation. Morales claimed a family left her no tip on their nearly $100 bill and instead wrote, “Sorry, I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and the way you live your life.” She then posted a photo of this receipt to a pro-gay website and has since received innumerable messages of support and monetary donations to make up for the tip she did not receive. However, it is now in question whether this actually happened at all, as close friends have come forward to say she is a pathological liar. Demand the truth from Dayna Morales, and an apology as well if she was indeed lying.

One piece of the story Morales previously shared was that part of the funds she had received in the mail were being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project since she was an ex-Marine herself. After further digging into this information, a dispute between facts was found. While Morales claimed she had served time in Afghanistan and said she was the sole survivor of an explosion that killed her entire platoon, a conversation with the Marine Corps revealed there’s no indication in her record of any combat service in Afghanistan.

Other close friends came forward to say they had also been duped by Morales. She told old work colleagues she was suffering from brain cancer; to another she said she had been raped by her father who then killed the baby. She told yet another friend that a boat had crashed in her living room during Hurricane Sandy. The work colleagues have not seen Morales since she abruptly quit, nor did they hear anything else that seemed to support her story. The second friend said the story kept changing: her father raped her and killed the baby, or she was raped and the baby had cancer. The third friend went to see Morales at home to help repair the damage, only to find the worst of it was actually a layer of water over the living room carpet—not nearly the amount of destruction painted by Morales.

Waitress Dayna Morales has currently not responded to any of these accusations. While it now seems hard to trust the word of Morales in regards to the homophobic incident, nothing has been completely confirmed. The family that allegedly snubbed Morales on the tip has since stated that they never wrote that note and did indeed leave a tip. However, it is also conceivable that they are the ones to change their story since this has reached national headlines. It is time for Morales to clear up this situation: is it simply another case of the girl who cried wolf one time too many, or did she fabricate this entire story?

Dear Dayna Morales,

I have been following your story in the news concerning the alleged homophobic note left in lieu of a tip on a table where you were waitressing. Such action is appalling and you seemed to be doing a service by raising awareness about homophobia and by also donating to the Wounded Warrior Project. Now, however, it seems there are questions regarding the truth of your story.

Many close friends and colleagues have stepped forward with stories they believe prove you are a pathological liar. One friend says you claimed a boat went through your living room during Hurricane Sandy; however, upon visiting they found your house perfectly intact. You also claimed to have served in Afghanistan and lost your entire platoon to an explosion, but a conversation with the Marine Corps reveals you were never on active duty in Afghanistan.

I do not want to jump to conclusions but there appear to be a lot of facts that outweigh the truth of your story. Please tell us the truth, and if necessary, apologize for the lie you spread.
