Ensure that Denying Children Fast Food is not Deemed ‘Unfit Parenting’

Target: David Schorr

Goal: Support David Schorr for his wise decision to not allow his son to eat McDonalds and encourage him to continue to practice good parenting

Parent David Schorr was recently labeled an “unfit parent” for refusing to give his son McDonalds upon his request. Schorr’s five year old son threw a tantrum when he was told he could not have McDonalds, and when Schorr told him that he could have anything except Mcdonalds or nothing, he chose to eat nothing.

When his wife heard about the incident, and told their court-appointed psychologist, the psychologist said that he was an unfit parent and urged the judge to limit his custody further.

Schorr is now suing the psychologist for his unfair actions.  As a parent, Schorr was just trying to limit the amount of junk food his son ate, and felt that McDonalds was particularly unhealthy. Generally, parents are criticized for feeding their children unhealthy food, but it is quite unusual that this parent is being criticized for his lack of feeding his child unhealthy food.

Schorr deserves rectification for these unfair accusations that have occurred against him. He deserves to win the lawsuit against the psychologist and hopefully be no longer forced to deal with him. This man does not deserve punishment for trying to keep his son healthy.

Please sign the petition below to support David Schorr and to encourage him to maintain his good parenting morals when it comes to fast food.

Petition Letter:

Dear David Schorr,

The recent incident of being deemed an “unfit parent” after refusing to feed your child McDonalds was unfair and wrong. You felt that it was not very healthy and you wanted him to cut back on junk food, so rejecting his requests was the right decision. It was also the correct decision to stick to your answer even after your son was throwing a tantrum because it is never okay to reward bad behavior.

We hope that you do not regret your choices in any way, because you were just being a good parent. We hope that everything works out well for you and encourage you to maintain your positive tactics of parenting.
