Cancel Cruel Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Shows

Target: Dale Carlsen, CEO of Sleep Train

Goal: Cancel Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Shows at Sleep Train Amphitheater

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey plans to go to Sacramento, California and offer events displaying their blatant cruelty to animals. Ringling Bros. has been cited and fined numerous times for their horrific abuse of animals. Please tell Sleep Train Amphitheater CEO Dale Carlsen to immediately cancel all Ringling Bros. Circus shows.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has long been known for it’s extremely inhumane captivity and training policies. The circus giant has been cited numerous times for extreme animal cruelty, including the severe and unnecessary beating of endangered animals such as tigers, elephants, and bears. Ringling Bros. uses gruesome training methods in order to scare elephants and other wild animals into submission only to perform tricks for humans. Numerous undercover videos show trainers mercilessly beating innocent elephants with bull-hooks, despite the pained cries of their victims. Trainers can be seen beating and whipping tigers on a consistent basis. Despite outrage from numerous animal welfare organizations and concerned citizens alike, Ringling Bros. continues to travel around the country with its entourage of tormented wild creatures, hosting shows for ignorant, trusting humans.

Ringling Bros. should no longer be allowed to imprison and torture wild animals for entertainment. These animals belong in the wild, not in an arena performing stupid tricks for humans. Until we bring down this circus giant once and for all, the show will go on. Please tell Sleep Train Amphitheater CEO Dale Carlsen to immediately cancel all Ringling Bros. shows in the Sacramento Arena.

Dear Dale Carlsen,

I was disgusted to learn of your plans to host the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Sacramento. Ringling Bros. is well-known for its horrific animal captivity and training policies. Being the capital of California, Sacramento is a proud city with firm morals and strong values. Sacramento does not want to support such blatant animal cruelty. Please cancel all Ringling Bros. shows indefinitely.

Ringling Bros. continues to abuse animals for human entertainment. Elephants are continuously beaten with bull-hooks and forced into submission in order to perform tricks for humans. These magnificent creatures are sensitive animals and do not deserve the pain inflicted upon them. Endangered tigers are no better off; they endure constant whipping and beatings from trainers forcing them to perform unnatural acts for a crowd of ignorant humans. Animals are constantly imprisoned in small enclosures, never given even the slightest respect and concern.

Ringling Bros. is a shameful circus that continues to mercilessly beat endangered animals all for a profit. This is a disgusting business that the citizens of Sacramento, California and other communities alike do not wish to support. Please immediately cancel all Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus shows indefinitely.

Un natural cruelty lives and thrives wherever tjis circus travels. Besten with bull hooks (fact) and cattle prods in their private parts (fact). Besten on thrir heads and made to travel for many hours without rest or water or excercise. I just hate the circus and its time to shut it down.

Do the right thing. It’s 2013!

  4. 3rd World Countries are even banning wild animals in circuses. Get a clue U.S.A. This is wrong. Circuses can be profitable and enjoyable without the animals. This has to END.

  5. Elsie Nicholls says:

While money is the course of corruption authorities will turn a deaf ear and a blind eye. People h ave to be made more aware of the cruelty and brutality involved in animal circuses and stop patronising. =no money =no circus simple
