Protect Chimps in Captivity From Harm

Target: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Goal: End the exploitation of captive chimpanzees in entertainment, invasive experiments and the exotic pet trade.

Under existing regulations, chimpanzees in captivity in the U.S. are deprived of protection even though wild chimpanzees are listed as endangered. This discrepancy has led to the exploitation of captive chimpanzees in entertainment, invasive experiments and the exotic pet trade. Not only are these activities torturous to the animal, the use of chimpanzees in these industries also hurts efforts to conserve chimpanzees in the wild.

Both captive and wild chimps must be listed as “endangered,” which would increase their protections while positively affecting the conservation of wild chimpanzees.

It stands as one of man’s greatest challenges—to stop being so greedy and wanting all the power—we need to be honest and stand up for all creatures great and small and put away the differences, the prejudices and greed that man seems to hunger for.Organisations need to be honest and not be intimidated by other humans wanting more power.Stand on their moral code—-chimps dont show bias, they just want to live their lives as the Creator deemed them to do—-not behind bars but with the right to be free ,breathe the air and live with their kind, not prejudiced, greedy power hugry man.
