Shut Down Abusive Veterinary Hospital

Target: Orange County Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Unit

Goal: Fire abusive vet tech and shut down the hospital where she still works

Stefanie Stasse works as a vet tech at Emergency Pet Hospital of Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Recently, a video emerged of her swinging a small dog on a leash into a wall after struggling with it. The clinic’s owner says he stands behind his employee, and that the video did not show the dog injuring two people. Sources believe that she is still employed at Emergency Pet Hospital of Orlando.

The owner of the clinic, Dr. Hassan, says that the video was taken a year and a half ago, before he was owner of the hospital. However, records show that Dr. Hassan has been owner and main veterinarian of the clinic since 2008. There have been other complaints about the clinic in the past. A representative with Orange County Animal Services said they have received two complaints about the clinic and the doctor, but found the complaints unfounded.

The proper authorities have been notified, the Orange County Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Unit said it has investigated the alleged animal abuse, and a protest recently occurred outside the clinic. Dr. Hassan’s veterinary license may be under investigation. Sign the petition to demand that Orange County shut down this abusive clinic.

Dear Orange County Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Unit,

Stefanie Stasse’s clear animal abuse is grounds to keep her away from animals forever. Please protect animals from being abused by her in the future by having her fired and the clinic shut down.

Dr. Hassan is clearly one of Stasse’s ilk if he can defend her actions, and should not be allowed to practice veterinary medicine. The previous complaints of animal abuse in this practice do not seem to be unfounded after this video has come to light. Slamming a dog into a wall is never acceptable, nor is defending an employee for abusing an animal. Do not allow any more animals to be abused. Fire Stasse and shut down Dr. Hassan’s practice.

You have to be extremely cautious with whom you trust your animals.

  2. BostonHolly says:

He stands behind abuse ? I don’t give a crap what the dog did to the humans, probably already mishandling a terrified dog. Swinging a dog on a leash to slam it against a wall – that’s acceptable behavior ??? Fire her ass and close the clinic.

  3. SUE GRIFFITHS says:

This man will never be cured, he is a psychopath. So how can anyone think of returning him to society ever? The kindest thing for animals, humans and himself is to give him a lethal injection.

  4. this is a complete and utterly outrageously horrible thing people take their beloved pets to animal clinics and hospitals to help them not to harm them how long has this sadistic situation been going on and why up in till now haven’t they been reported to the police animals are innocent defenseless and no one should ever hurt them they have no voice nor can they fight for themselves we have to help them and lend them our voice I can’t comprehend why anyone who would harm a hair on their beautiful little heads the hateful people each and every person who knew this situation was going on and not reporting it should be charged with a felony animal abuse and jailed for 8 to 10 years with no possibility of parole and slap on the waist community service or probation in till that term is over animal abuse sh0uld be outlawed and this animal hospital shutdown for good.
