Target: Ken Hoinsky, author of a predatory dating guide book
Goal: Condemn a book about how to sexually assault women
Ken Hoinsky would like to sell you a book about how to assault women, and he’s successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign to help him do it. It’s called “Above the Game: A Guide to Getting Awesome with Women”. At first glance, it seems like just another one of those “Player Handbook” type guides, which are generally nasty in intent but ultimately harmless.
Instead, this book is essentially a guide on how to sexually assault and possibly rape a woman. One of the main guidelines of the book reads “Get CLOSE to her, damn it!”
To quote similar author Rob Judge, “Personal space is for pussies. I already told you that the most successful seducers are those who can’t keep their hands off of women. Well you’re not gonna be able to do that if you aren’t in close!”
To demonstrate the truly offensive nature of Hoinsky’s book, these additional passages are included:
“All the greatest seducers in history could not keep their hands off of women. They aggressively escalated physically with every woman they were flirting with. They began touching them immediately, kept great body language and eye contact, and were shameless in their physicality. Even when a girl rejects your advances, she KNOWS that you desire her. That’s hot. It arouses her physically and psychologically.”
“Decide that you’re going to sit in a position where you can rub her leg and back. Physically pick her up and sit her on your lap. Don’t ask for permission. Be dominant. Force her to rebuff your advances.”
Please sign this petition to send a message to Ken Hoinsky that his book is dangerous and insulting, and if he or any of his readers follows his advice they will be legally responsible for sexual assault.
Dear Ken Hoinsky,
The advice in your recently funded Kickstarter book, “Above the Game: A Guide to Getting Awesome With Women” if followed by you or any of your readers, qualifies as sexual assault.
Women are not obstacle courses to conquer or prizes to be won. They are human beings, with autonomy. You cannot invade the personal space of a woman or force her to do anything at all without being held legally responsible for your actions.
By selling your advice on how to manipulate and control women as helpful tips to sad and lonely men you are contributing to a culture of sexual violence against women. Remove your book and its horrible, violent advice from the market.
