Stop Using Exotic Animal Skins for Fashion

Target: Pierre Denis, CEO of Jimmy Choo

Goal: Discontinue the use of exotic skins in Jimmy Choo products

Jimmy Choo is a luxury fashion company that uses exotic elements in creating it’s high end line of handbags, shoes, and accessories. Unfortunately, these exotic elements include the skins of innocent animals such as snakes, crocodiles, and alligators. Please tell Pierre Denis, CEO of Jimmy Choo, that you won’t be buying Jimmy Choo products until the designer brand pledges to use humane alternatives.

Jimmy Choo continues to use the hides of exotic animals in it’s collections of handbags, shoes, and accessories. These expensive products are made from the skins of innocent creatures such as snakes, alligators, and various other reptiles. Jimmy Choo recently produced a handbag that featured mink fur, python and elaphe snakeskin, and crocodile trim. This handbag made from the tortured exteriors of innocent, beautiful creatures is a shameful exploitation of animals.

Snakes used in fashion accessories are often hunted down and skinned alive. Crocodiles and alligators can suffer for hours before finally dying from their mortal wounds, having been also skinned alive. Reptiles suffer the same pain and agony as any animal, wether it be a house cat or family dog or iguana. They are not here for us to wear on our shoulder or on our feet.

The egregious acts against these creatures for the sake of fashion is disgusting and intolerable. Please alert Jimmy Choo’s CEO Pierre Denis that you will no longer be buying any of the company’s products until they can pledge to ditch the exotic, tortured skins of other living beings.

Dear Pierre Denis CEO Jimmy Choo,

I was shocked and disheartened to learn that Jimmy Choo supports the systematic and heinous abuse of animals in the name of fashion. Using exotic skins from alligators, crocodiles, snakes and various other reptiles on handbags, purses, and accessories is a shameful practice that must end.

Every year countless animals are tortured and skinned alive to fulfill the gluttonous demand for fashion products that adorn their hides. Although some people may not have the same affinity towards reptiles as they do domesticated animals, reptiles still suffer intense pain the same as any house cat or family dog. Reptiles deserve the same respect and concern that you would give domestic animals. These poor creatures often suffer for hours after enduring the excruciating pain of having their skins ripped from their still writhing and breathing bodies.

The shameful exploitation of these innocent, beautiful creatures is intolerable and must be stopped. Please pledge to use only humane alternatives in all your fashion products. Until Jimmy Choo pledges to end this reign of terror on reptiles, I will not be buying any products, nor will my friends or family members. Please make the right decision and ditch exotic skins.

There will come a day when one designer company will take a stand. On that day there will be a new standard not fashion from death but fashion for life. Come on! Can you even imagine the publicity on a company like this going Vegan? If they don’t do it then I will! I was in the fashion industry much of my life Im kind of a shamed to say but I loved it for the art. Fashion needs to have a higher consciousness vibe to it…. Oh, but you must have a conscious. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Blood money on a black soul. May you ask for mercy one day and may you not get it. May you suffer too!
