Target: Christa Deann Floydroy
Goal: Punish Christa Deann Floydroy for throwing her boyfriend’s puppy out of the window of a moving vehicle
In Escambia County, Florida, a 40-year-old woman named Christa Deann Floydroy had an argument with her boyfriend while they were driving. Out of frustration, the emotionally distressed Christa took her boyfriend’s innocent one-year-old puppy, who happened to be in the vehicle at the time of the dispute, and threw him out of the moving truck. The dog, named “Little Bit,” belonged to the boyfriend, who was driving the truck at the time of the dispute. Unfortunately, Little Bit had to suffer the unfortunate consequences of a verbal argument between two human beings.
After Christa tossed the puppy outside the moving vehicle on North U.S. 29, the boyfriend stopped the car to drop Christa off. Then, he went back to rescue his puppy. Fortunately, when he brought the puppy to the veterinarian, the veterinarian only had to treat the puppy for road rash, also known as irritated skin. Little Bit is projected to fully recover from such a terrible event.
Christa was arrested, and is facing animal cruelty charges. She is currently in the Escambia County Jail on a $1,500 bond. When Maddie Davis of Long Beach Island in New Jersey heard of Christa’s actions, she stated that “People have to be held accountable for hurting animals and doing reckless stuff like this just because she had a fight with her boyfriend. What if she had a baby? Would she have done the same thing? We are told that animal cruelty and violence towards other humans are closely related.”
Sign the petition to inform Christa that it is not okay for her to throw a poor innocent animal out of a moving vehicle just because she was having an argument with her boyfriend. No animal is collateral damage.
Dear Christa Deann Floydroy,
You recently had an argument with your boyfriend when you were both in a car. He was driving. It is common for people in relationships to fight, but it is not okay for anyone to take out his or her anger out on a poor innocent animal. Little Bit, your boyfriend’s one-year-old puppy was in the vehicle at the time of your dispute, should not suffer because you were having a disagreement with your boyfriend.
Little Bit was in the car, and then without warning, Little Bit was just tossed out of the moving vehicle just because you were angry with its owner. You will be held accountable for hurting Little Bit. Reckless actions, like throwing an innocent puppy out a car just because you had a fight with your boyfriend, are unacceptable. Would you have thrown an infant out of the moving vehicle in the midst of a heated argument? Work on your emotional issues. Don’t let problems with another human being easily cause you to lash out on other humans and animals. Recognize that what you did was wrong, and correct it.
