Target: Jaime Oliver Charities
Goal: Praise Jaime Oliver Charities for sponsoring Food Revolution Day and encourage citizens of the world to participate and begin eating healthier.
May 17th is Food Revolution Day, which is a global day of action to celebrate natural foods, learn where they come from, and cook at home. Prepackaged and over-processed foods have become too prevalent in the diets of our nation’s adults and children. The most nutritious foods are made from scratch, so we must get back to basics and teach our children how to live healthy lifestyles. Participate in Food Revolution Day to support healthy eating in the United States and around the world.
Food Revolution Day is supported by the United Kingdom’s Better Food Foundation and Australia’s The Good Foundation, among others. The global awareness day aims to remind people about how important cooking skills are to maintaining healthy diets. Many people around the world lack basic cooking skills, resulting in fast-food diets and diet and obesity-related diseases.
You can participate in Food Revolution Day in lots of simple and easy ways. Host a potluck for dinner and encourage your guests to bring a naturally-cooked food. Host an educational event at your child’s school to teach students how to cook healthy versions of their favorite foods. Plant your own fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the backyard or small window pots to celebrate home-grown foods throughout the year. The Food Revolution Community encourages people to post photos and recipes on their Facebook page and other social media outlets.

Dear Jaime Oliver Charities,
Thank you for sponsoring Food Revolution Day and helping to bring awareness about the nutrition crisis plaguing nations around the globe. Although one day is certainly not enough to change people’s habits, each new day is an opportunity for positive change
I am urging you to advertise and otherwise promote Food Revolution Day as much as possible until May 17th. By bringing awareness to this important cause you can help remind people about the benefits of natural foods, healthy nutrition, and cooking sustainable meals.
