Ask KFC to Stop Supporting Company That is Destroying Asian Tiger Habitats

Target: KFC President Roger Eaton

Goal: Stop indirectly contributing to the habitat loss of Asian tigers by supporting paper company that destroys Indonesian rainforests

Asia Pulp & Paper is a company that is notorious for destroying the rainforests of Indonesia. There are only a couple hundred tigers left in those rainforests, and the already endangered species will see extinction in a matter of years if the company continues to destroy their habitats. The fast-food company Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) packages its meals in Asia Pulp & Paper’s products. We need to speak out against KFC to save the tigers in Indonesia.

KFC is often involved in controversy surrounding how it gets chicken meat for its stores. The chickens are treated with cruelty and torture, and it has become a public known fact that KFC treats the animals inhumanely. Now the company is guilty of indirect cruelty by supporting another company that is destroying the Indonesian rainforest, and what little home the tigers have left.

The companies Nestle and Mattel have recently vowed not to use Asia Pulp & Paper for their products. If these major companies can take the pledge to save the tigers of Indonesia, then there is no excuse for KFC. Sign the petition below to ask KFC President, Roger Eaton, to stop using Asia Pulp & Paper to package KFC’s chicken.

Dear Mr. Eaton,

Your company is notorious for torturing chickens in order to get your final product. Your facilities are at fault for the direct torture inflicted upon the animals and it is a process that you can directly control. By using the company Asia Pulp & Paper to package your inhumanely butchered chicken meat you are also contributing to animal cruelty indirectly.

Asia Pulp & Paper is destroying the Indonesian rainforests. The miniscule tiger population left in the area is losing its precious land so that the company can package the remains of tortured chickens to sell to ignorant consumers. This is a small, outside factor that your company can easily control.

Nestle and Mattel have already refused to use Asia Pulp & Paper, and there is no excuse for you to now jump on board. Your company is already notorious for animal cruelty so you should want to do everything in your power to not add on to that stigma. We are asking you to please find humane packaging materials and to stop using Asia Pulp & Paper to package your meals.

  3. Now if only KFC would extend some additional compassion for animals and stop harming chickens, things would *really* get better for our fellow beings. 🙂

Pure infantile primitivism – what kind of idiotic monsters are able to handle and destroy living creatures in that way is unbelievable – monsters deserves monsterwork too.
