Goal: Stop scientific testing on horses in the United Kingdom.
Over 10,000 experiments are carried out on horses in the United Kingdom each year. This disgusting abuse of animals is completely unnecessary in the 21st century, and Brexit has put the United Kingdom in a perfect position to stop animal testing altogether. The government is not doing enough to stop animal laboratory tortures and replace them with ethical alternatives that are available. In the last year, nearly 4 million experiments were performed on animals. This cruel torture is unacceptable and needs to end.
Sign this petition to urge the Royal Society of Biology to stop using horses for laboratory experiments.

Dear Professor Wells,
It is appalling that the U.K. subjects animals to nearly 4 million experiments every year. Of these, more than 10,000 experiments were performed on horses. Overall, the total number of animal experiments thankfully saw a slight decline in the last few years, yet even more horses were subjected to cruel procedures and unethical experiments than previously.
This is completely unnecessary and needs to stop. In the 21st century, there are a number of alternatives to animal testing. Even if ethical alternatives cannot be found in some cases, this is no excuse for torturing majestic animals like the horse for human and scientific gain.
I urge you to take the initiative and stop carrying out experiments on horses in the United Kingdom.

This horrible and ugly practice must be stopped now. The innocent horses don’t deserve to be treated in such an appalling manner. Humans can be so cruel!!
I thought the royal family loved animals, especially dogs and horses. Apparently not. Shame on the UK for the practice of scientific testing on horses!
All animal abusers globally must be put to death!
I feel this is animals abuse. Yet we do it here in America. Here we have beagles used and bred to live lives of terror and fear. What is done in the White Coat Project in this country is as horrible as what you are doing to horses over the pond. I imagine it concerns money as it usually does. No one wants the money flow to disappear. Animals are tortured in such a process. Nothing of value comes from such experiments. There are other humane and are more effective ways to obtain the same or better information. Yet the hell for these poor animals continues not in the name of mercy or health but for greed as usual.
