Goal: Stop fishing in the coral reefs off the coast of Thailand.
Massive fishing nets have been found strangling the coral reefs in three locations off the coast of Thailand. The nets stretch far out of sight in the clear water, causing untold damage to a vast amount of the reefs. Countless aquatic animals are trapped in the nets, and the entangled coral will soon die and cause irreparable damage to the ecosystem.
The environmental minister of Thailand has ordered the nets to be removed and regulations implemented to ensure this does not happen again. Yet the only way to fully safeguard the reefs is to completely ban fishing in all coral reefs surrounding the country.
Sign this petition to urge Thailand to stop all fishing operations in the coral reefs and save these natural wonders of the ocean.

Dear Minister Varawut Silpa-archa,
The massive fishing nets strangling the coral reefs in the waters around your country is shocking to behold. The damage to the reefs is incalculable, and it is horrible the devastation being caused to the aquatic creatures that call them home. I applaud your efforts to remove these nets as quickly and safely as possible, and also your efforts to implement regulations stopping such acts in the future.
However, I urge you to take this matter a step further and fully protect the coral reefs. The only way to properly save the reefs from these sort of disasters is to completely ban all fishing in and around the coral reefs. While this may seem drastic, desperate times call for desperate measures and I encourage you to do what is necessary to protect these irreplaceable wonders under the sea.
Please, ban all fishing from the coral reefs off the coast of Thailand.
