Stop Polluting Waterways With Rotting Trash

Target: John Yakabuski, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry

Goal: Continue to preserve and protect natural reserves and resources.

In a river in Ontario, 64 rotten carcasses of fish were dumped into the water along with other trash. Many of the fish were whole, not only signaling a horrible waste of life but also contaminating the water. Furthermore, toxic substances were also discovered littering the shoreline, which has the potential of causing horrible ecological damage in the riparian area.

Local law enforcement officers are working tirelessly to protect the environment, and criminals who perpetrate such heinous acts of intentional destruction should be caught and severely penalized. Sign this petition to ensure these people face the full force of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Honourable Yakabuski,

I am appalled the hear of the horrible desecration of the Muskoka River. Officers found rotting fish carcasses, batteries, and other trash littering the shore and dumped into the water. I would like to thank you and your officers for their tireless work protecting the environment. In addition, I urge you to continue searching for the people who dumped this garbage into the river and contaminated the waters. It is important now more than ever to protect our delicate ecosystems, and to punish criminals who willfully damage the environment to the full extent of the law.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

No one has the right to dump their trash in any body of water. This was lethal trash. There may be no other way but for cameras to be used in order to catch, and hold accountable, this type of criminal and this type of crime. These men knew what they were doing and need to be put in prison for decades for this crime. Don’t these idiots know that of all the water on earth less that 1% is drinkable. These criminals are responsible to all of us for their pollution and destruction. The USA needs tougher laws and obviously Canada does as well. This sounds a bit extreme but this is a crime against ALL living beings including us. No water means no life!!!!!!

People who pollute care for no one but themselves. They certainly care nothing for their own future generations.
