Target: John Frawley, President/Director of the Minnesota Zoo
Goal: Penalize people responsible for the deaths of two musk oxen and protect animals from unjust euthanasia.
The Minnesota Zoo has been the home to musk oxen since 1978 and they ran one of the most successful breeding programs. The climate, unfortunately, negatively impacted the herd. From 65 animals, only two senior females remained that were recently euthanized due to failing health, per the zoo’s statement, which was likely impacted by the unfit climate they were forced to live in.
The keepers of the musk oxen apparently knew for more than a decade that the warm summer temperatures in Minnesota had devastating effects on the animals. Despite this, nothing has seemingly been done to alleviate this issue and the animals had to endure the heat until the last two were euthanized. These magnificent creatures had the right to live out their lives in peace and should have been rehomed to a proper climate.
The last remaining Minnesota musk oxen should have been given the chance to live out their lives in a proper climate rather than being euthanized. Sign this petition to demand justice for these precious animals.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Director Frawley,
Your zoo was once the home to a whole herd of musk oxen until the numbers dwindled, making two elderly females the only remaining animals. Musk oxen live in colder climates. Summer temperatures in Minnesota are too warm for this species to thrive and the handlers reportedly noticed this negative impact on the health of the oxen long ago.
Although it has been a known fact that the oxen have been suffering from the heat for years, nothing has apparently been done to solve this problem. After enduring the heat for decades, the two senior female oxen have been euthanized.
These magnificent creatures had the right to live out their lives in peace and should have been rehomed to a proper climate. I urge you to fire the people who decided to kill them instead, and to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

The people who put the oxen in those conditions and then murdered them need to be executed. fair is fair
You are right. Fair is fair
They could have been relocated to a cooler climate, instead they were murdered!!!!
Again, salaries are paid and yet responsibility and accountability is forsaken. There is no reason this should have taken decades of suffering to these animals. You are a Zoo yet you do not care for, or about, the animals or so it appears. Why not move them to a cooler climate? There is no excuse for your poor management resulting in the deaths of an entire herd.
These evil, mentally deranged cretins must have the death penalty performed on them. A slow and agonizing death is essential.
THESE PEOPLE BELONG BEHIND BARS-NOT INNOCENT ANIMALS!! THEN OPEN UP THE PRISON SELL TICKETS SO WE CAN VIEW THE LOCKED UP ANIMAL ABUSING HUMANS!!! HOT TICKETS!!
