Goal: Stop discriminating against the LGBTQ+ community.
Proposed laws in Texas would prohibit access to gender-affirming health care, despite opposition from LGBTQ+ Texans and medical associations. One bill would prohibit health care providers and physicians from performing gender confirmation surgery or prescribing, administering or supplying puberty blockers or hormone treatment to anyone under the age of 18. Many individuals are already going through puberty and developing secondary sex characteristics by age 18. Another bill would revoke the medical license of any healthcare provider or physician who performs such procedures or prescribes such drugs or hormones to people younger than 18. Ricardo Martinez, CEO of Equality Texas, said that Texas has filed more anti-LGBTQ+ bills this session than any other state.
Indigo, a non-binary teen who went through some of these procedures before age 18, said: “It’s insulting. These lawmakers think that we don’t know what we want with our own bodies and we’re not able to say what we want and mean it.” Megan Mooney, former president of the Texas Psychological Association, said that children as young as 2 or 3 can be aware of their gender identity. She said that by ages 6 or 7, a sense of gender identity is relatively stable.

To Senator Hall,
Lawmakers should not have jurisdiction over the body’s of individuals. Additionally, lawmakers should not feel that they have expertise beyond medical practitioners and professionals in health and wellness decisions. The laws proposed that limit access to gender affirming surgeries and hormone therapies are shameful. They strip an entire demographic of Americans of their right to liberty and happiness by putting limits on what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. I urge you to focus your policies on societal issues like poverty, gun violence, and racial equality and to stop writing bills that discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community.

Now, before you start your howling about there is no God, explain life, explain your “Big Bang” theory, explain how something like a fish can evolve into anything. Answer: without God, none of this is possible. But those transsexuals who now call themselves “women” are no more women than I am King of the World.
