Stop Publication of Book By Officer Involved in Death of Breonna Taylor

Target: Michael L. Wilson, President of Post Hill Press

Goal: Do not publish book by cop involved in Breonna Taylor’s death.

Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, a cop involved in Breonna Taylor’s death, has a book deal with Post Hill Press. Mattingly plans to publish The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy with Post Hill Press, a small, conservative, “Christian” publishing house. Normally, books published by Post Hill Press are distributed by Simon & Schuster. However, the publishing power house said on Twitter: “Like much of the American public, earlier today Simon & Schuster learned of plans by distribution client Post Hill Press to publish a book by Jonathan Mattingly. We have subsequently decided not to be involved in the distribution of this book.”

Mattingly should not benefit from the death of Breonna Taylor. It is not his story to tell. Sign this petition to urge Post Hill Press to stop the publication of Mattingly’s book.

To Mr. Wilson,

Jonathan Mattingly was involved in the death of Breonna Taylor at the hands of police officers. She died in her sleep as her home was invaded by police with no-knock warrants, despite the fact that previous investigations suggested that she was unrelated to the drug running allegations made against her ex-boyfriend. The system failed her. America failed her. Do not perpetuate this failure by dishonoring her legacy through the publication of a book–one that cannot even say “death” or “murder” in the title– by officer Jonathan Mattingly, who fired at Breonna Taylor. I urge you to drop the publication of the book authored by Mattingly.
