Puppy Slammed on Ground and Abandoned With Two Broken Legs Deserves Justice

Target: Linn County, Iowa Attorney Jerry Vander Sanden

Goal: Find, arrest, and prosecute person who broke puppy’s legs and left the animal to suffer.

A 12-week-old golden retriever puppy, later named Kimble, was dropped off on a citizen’s doorstep with two broken legs. It was determined by a veterinarian that the animal was abused. Whoever hurt this innocent puppy needs to be found, arrested, and swiftly prosecuted so that other dogs in the surrounding area will be protected.

A veterinarian concluded that the puppy had a fractured rear leg and another break in his right front leg. Police said that Kimble was likely injured as a result of someone slamming the animal to the ground. Kimble has since undergone surgery and is being cared for by animal hospital staff.

Sign this petition to demand the person responsible for harming Kimble be found and held accountable for their actions in an effort to keep other animals in the locality safe.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear County Attorney Sanden,

Police are currently searching for a person who they say violently handled a golden retriever puppy named Kimble. It is important that this individual is arrested and quickly prosecuted to better ensure other nearby animals will not also be attacked.

Kimble had to have surgery on both his rear and front right legs to fix fractures, and is still under veterinary care. Reports indicate that Kimble likely broke the legs after being harshly slammed on the ground. Kimble was dropped off on an area resident’s doorstep by a teenager, although it is not known who hurt the puppy. For these reasons, I demand you encourage authorities to continue searching for the individual who abused Kimble and that you also seek a prison sentence for the guilty party.

Sincerely,

  2. Stories like this make me hate humans.
Whoever did this deserves to be beaten. But so many states don’t do anything to find, prosecute, and punish scum like this. It is a sad comment on the state that society is in. Praying little Kimble gets a loving home soon.

Amen Ms. Debbie, may this vile scum rot in phucking hell!!! And most important that this precious little Kimble get that forever loving, caring home! <3

  3. Unfortunately, Iowa is one of those states that that cares little about the welfare of its companion animals. I doubt much will be done on Kimble’s behalf….sad, but true.

    SOMEONE needs to DIE

  8. Love and healing to Kimble. Animals lives are MORE VALUEABLE than trash like this. I hope they suffer immensely in life!!!
Most countries have poor animal protection laws. Asian countries are the worst, but they eat ANYTHING!! America isn’t far behind. So OFTEN someone who has BEEN FOUND GUILTY, is now found in possession of animals again. Thats why they do it, knowing your laws and punishment are like candy, with LITTLE CONSEQUENCES. Improve your laws!!!

Iowa needs to step up. Actually America needs to step up and have laws which are the same state to state. The person who did this is out there and is a threat to society. There is an order to these crimes, first an animal, then a child, then elderly, and women. Younger offenders and first time offenders get off so lightly. What if they didn’t? Teenagers videoed the death, at their hands, of an injured deer. They laughed about it on tape. They got off the hook I’m sure for various reasons but they might have served as examples of what not to do. Parents need to speak to their kids about animal abuse and the law should be so tight no one could wiggle out. Judges are lenient, the law is soft, and the abuse continues. This needs to STOP!

Evil human!! Do the same to this POS abuser!!

  11. Elease M. Bradford says:

I’m so sorry Kimble suffered this abuse. I hope the slimy, scumbag that abused this poor, innocent puppy is caught and severely punished. I wish Kimble a speedy recovery and I hope he gets justice and a loving home.

  12. Katherine Gonzalez says:

This breaks my heart over and over and over again. When are the laws going to catch up and become as harsh for animals as they are with people? They need lots and lots of prison time, no parole. Should we make a petition to the President? What do we need to do???

  13. CATCH THIS SADISTIC MONSTER!!!!! PUNISH TO THE FULLEST!!!!

  14. Veronica Figueiredo says:

MF needs to be found and have the legs broken SIX TIMES then SLAMMED on the ground from a fourth floor balcony. Then brought to the middle of nowhere and left to suffer and die.

  15. Find this evil piece of worthless scum and lock it up for life. Law makers need to do so much more to protect animals. Real deterrents and real punishments are demanded of the law! Heartbreaking.

  16. When the Iowa laws for the protection of animals do next to nothing to this scumbag, I hope someone takes the law into their own hands and slamms this thing into the ground, breaking his legs and arms so he can’t do this to another animal.

  17. Orla McClure says:

Animals are sentient beings and deserve humane treatment. If the scumbags who own animals can’t treat them with kindness then don’t own them. This individual should have his bones broken! Useless POS!!! Iowa needs to step up its game!!!!

  18. Find the scumbag POS that did this and put them behind bars! Also, look at nearby surveillance cameras where the puppy was found!

  19. Dalida Beauprez says:

Please please find this and all other animal abusers and murderers and punish them the hardest way ! I live in Belgium !

  20. Someone please find this creep and return the favor!
