Thank Foundation for Reducing the Impact of AIDS in Africa

AIDS

Target: Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

Goal: Thank the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation for reducing the impact of AIDS in Africa.

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) has made sizable progress in helping to diminish the impact of AIDS in Africa. It has accomplished this by a series of programs, which focus on education, preventing the spread of HIV from mother to child, health screenings, and research. This organization, which operates in more than 12 countries,  has also helped several million women in the past decade by providing HIV tests and counseling.

The HIV virus has been devastating to the peoples of Africa, in part because many lack basic sex education and birth control. As a result, HIV is often transferred from mother to child through breastfeeding. More than four million women have received education and treatment from EPGAF during pregnancy, helping to mitigate the transmission of HIV to future generations. This foundation has also provided much-needed treatments to more than a half million people who were suffering from AIDS and lacked access to medical care.

EPGAF is rated as one of the most financially responsible charities in the world and maintains an ‘A’ rating from the Better Business Bureau. The vast majority of donations go directly towards life-saving research, medicine, education, testing, and improving medical care facilities. Thank the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation for reducing the impact of AIDS in Africa.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation,

Thank you for your commitment to reducing the impact of AIDS in Africa. Because of your foundation’s focus and dedication, millions of people have received AIDS treatment, education, and HIV testing. AIDS continues to be a devastating disease for many peoples in Africa, who often lack adequate education, birth control, and access to medical services. Without organizations like yours, AIDS might easily devastate entire populations.

Your Project Heart focused on preventing the transmission of HIV from mother to child. More than four million women received HIV testing and counseling during the years of this project. You have also distributed much needed-treatments to more than a half million AIDS survivors who lacked other access to medical care. Your focus on creating sustainable medical facilities and ongoing education is truly commendable and will continue to make an impact for generations to come.

Not only has your foundation helped millions, but your financial soundness reassures the public that their donations will go towards good use. We commend you for your commitment to reduce the impact of AIDS in Africa and throughout the world.

Sincerely,
