Dog Allegedly Forced to Live With Spiked Collar Digging Into Skin Deserves Justice

Target: Lee County, Florida State Attorney Amira D. Fox

Goal: Give person who allegedly left dogs outside and kept prong collar on one of them a just legal sentence.

Two dogs were allegedly left outside for an unspecified amount of time, and one of them was said to be wearing a prong collar with spiked links. Carmen Melendez was arrested for the reported incident. She needs to spend an adequate amount of time behind bars if she is found guilty of such mistreatment to better ensure a similar incident will not happen again.

A veterinarian said they had a difficult time removing the collar, because it became implanted in the neck as a result of having been there for such a long period of time. The tightness of the collar reportedly caused multiple wounds, and the vet further indicated that the injuries occurred because of neglect. Both dogs were surrendered to authorities.

Sign this petition to demand Melendez spend time in prison and that she also not be allowed to have more pets if she is found guilty of this inexcusable neglect.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Fox,

Carmen Melendez was recently arrested for allegedly keeping her dogs outside and for making one of them wear a spiked collar. It is important that she receive a tough punishment under the law if it is found she committed this act so that fewer animals will be likely to suffer.

It was reported that the collar was stuck in the dog’s neck, which made it extremely difficult to remove. The veterinarian stated that it caused there to be large holes in the skin and relayed to police that the injuries could have been avoided. Both dogs were surrendered to Lee County Domestic Animal Services, and Melendez is now awaiting trial.

For the above reasons, I demand you suggest Melendez no longer be allowed to own pets and that she be legally punished if it is found she neglected these innocent animals.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Animal abusing scumbags internationally must have the death penalty implemented. A slow and agonising death for these evil cretins is essential.

  2. Sherri Robertson says:

This is just one reason these collars need to be banned and outlawed. Cruelty to animals. I hate them.

  3. Jaime Perez says:

This stinking ho bag should be forced to wear a spiked collar until it embeds into her ugly neck!! What is wrong with people??

    • Agree with you! And show her picture with the collar around her neck in the news so that she is so ashamed.
      Heartless moron…

  4. Inga Brereton says:

Let this pathetic travesty of a human being ‘enjoy’ the pleasure of wearing a spiked collar as an adornment. She should be banned from ever owning any living creature again. I can also think of an even worse punishment for people like her; however, I shall refrain from posting it here – unless I read about her again.

Give person who allegedly left dogs outside and kept prong collar on one of them a just legal sentence.

Two innocent and defenceless dogs were deliberately not allegedly left outside for an unspecified amount of time, and one of them was said to be wearing a prong collar with spiked links. This vile and evil lowlife bitch Carmen Melendez must be brought to Justice and jailed for life.

Eradication from our planet of the vile and evil bitch Carmen Melendez should be taken. Kill the evil bitch.
