Child Shot to Death By Police for Playing With Toy Gun Deserves Justice

Target: FBI Director, Christopher A. Wray

Goal: Charge officer with murder for killing Tamir Rice for playing with a toy in the park.

The Department of Justice just declared that they will not be filing charges against the officers responsible for the death of 13 year-old Tamir Rice. Rice was playing with a toy gun in a Cleveland park in November 2018, when officer Timothy Loehmann shot him within 30 seconds of arriving on the scene. Prosecutors say that the quality of the video is too low definition to make a proper judgement in the case.

The video of Rice’s death show a child playing with a toy gun when a police vehicle appears on the scene and the officer shoots Rice before even fully stepping out of the car. This is a clear-cut case of murder by a white police officer against an unarmed Black child. Rice’s family has to live with this tragedy for the rest of their lives, while Loehmann continues to walk free. This is an outrageous lack of justice, now it’s time to stand up. Sign below and demand justice for Rice and his family.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Wray,

Tamir Rice was a child. He was playing in a park, like a normal 13 year-old, when he was shot and killed by police. In the video of the murder you can see Tamir playing in the park when a squad car suddenly appears and shoots him dead in seconds. This is unacceptable, by any standard. Yet, the DOJ says that the video is not high enough quality to prosecute with?

The evidence will show his gun was a toy, the video shows he died within a matter of seconds of police arriving, the witness testimonies will back all of this up. There is no possible reason for prosecution to be denied. I demand that you take action on behalf of the people of the US and seek justice for this innocent child.

Sincerely,

What a very sad tragedy that should have never happened. This officer needs to be punished for this heinous act
