Playful Puppy Reportedly Shot and Killed as Her Family Watched Deserves Justice

Target: Michael A. Gailor, State’s Attorney for Middlesex County, Connecticut

Goal: Seek appropriate penalty for suspect accused of shooting puppy to death.

Once again, a dog in America was seemingly killed for acting like a dog. One-year-old Ally momentarily got away from her caretakers when she became fascinated with a bird and chased the other animal. As the caretakers went after her, a horrifying sight reportedly unfolded. A man living in the same condo complex allegedly took out a gun and shot Ally for no apparent reason. Worse yet, two young children were said to have witnessed the shooting.

Tragically, Ally later died from her wounds. Her grieving family said of their lost friend, “she was the silliest, goofiest, most loving dog. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body.” The man accused of killing her, Bardsley Monfilston, faces charges of animal cruelty, child endangerment, and unlawful discharge of a firearm, among other charges.

Sign the petition below to demand this suspect receive fitting punishment—and, if needed, mental health counseling—if he is found guilty at trial.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Gailor,

Bardsley Monfilston allegedly shot and killed a puppy and actively endangered two children at a Cromwell condo complex. He had no apparent motive for his reported actions, which took place in front of the puppy’s family. If this man is found guilty of these crimes, he needs to be held accountable.

If mental illness had any part in this reported killing, Mr. Monfilston should receive professional help. If this innocent dog is found to have died from cruelty alone, please ensure she receives justice to the fullest extent of the law.

Sincerely,

    Your Honor:
Sick people like him should be locked up for good in a mental institution!, and although – Animal cruelty is now officially banned across the United States, per President Trump’s signature on a federal document – and in my humble opinion, he shouldn’t be let go after his jail sentence is up because no one knows what he will be capable of doing next.
