Kitten Hurled Into Busy Roadway and Killed Deserves Justice

Target: Hon. Weeden A. Wetmore, Esq., District Attorney for Chemung County, New York

Goal: Punish the person who threw a kitten at a passing car, killing the animal.

A small black and white kitten was hurled from a moving vehicle and killed on a busy roadway. If this horrific cruelty wasn’t bad enough, the animal hit the windshield of an oncoming car, traumatizing an innocent motorist and putting the public in danger. The person responsible must face legal consequences.

“The wanton disregard shown by the perpetrator in killing the kitten and endangering other drivers threatens all who use Chemung County roadways,” stated Elmira Animal Control on their Facebook page. They have requested the public’s help in identifying the person in the passenger seat of the light-colored compact sedan who threw the kitten, forcing the opposing car to swerve off the road and killing the innocent animal. That person not only committed a heinous act of cruelty, but they also endangered countless motorists.

The person behind this callous act is still at large and potentially dangerous to other animals. Sign below and demand justice for this innocent cat.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Wetmore,

A kitten was deliberately thrown from a moving vehicle on Rt. 13 Horseheads, one of the county’s busiest roadways. The poor animal collided with the windshield of a second vehicle in the northbound lane and died painfully. In addition, the driver of the other vehicle had to swerve off the road, putting themselves and others in imminent danger.

Witnesses described the offending car as a light-colored sedan and the kitten was thrown by an unidentified person in the passenger seat. Authorities are investigating and a reward has been offered. However, the person responsible remains at large with the potential to cause more harm.

Once this person is identified, justice must be served. I demand that you prosecute this case and seek the harshest penalty possible for the safety of Chemung County’s animals and people.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
