Goal: Cancel proposed trip to Wisconsin that will only lead to more violence.
Despite repeatedly being asked not to by local leaders, President Donald Trump says he will visit Kenosha, the site of the police shooting of Jacob Blake and later the reported murder of two protestors by Kyle Rittenhouse. Government officials of the state of Wisconsin have said that they believe Trump’s visit would only lead to more violence, but the president refuses to change his plans.
Once again, President Trump is putting his ego ahead of the needs of American citizens. There is no excuse for him to visit a highly contested area. He should stay in Washington and remove his federal troops from the situation, as anytime they are involved things only get worse. Demand that President Trump leave Kenosha to local authorities and stays out of it.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear President Trump,
Your visit to Kenosha will only increase violence. Everything you touch become worse by virtue of your involvement. The best thing for the United States would be for you to stay in Washington D.C. and allow local authorities to handle what is going on there.
You are not the savior you think you are. Your ego will only get more people killed, as your mouth does every single day. If you care even a little about American lives, stay home, and stop supporting and perpetuating violence with your words and presence.
