Investigate Potential Poisoning of Russian Opposition Leader

Target: Konstantin Chuychenko, Minister of Justice, Russia

Goal: Allow independent investigation into possible poisoning of anti-corruption politician.

Russian pro-democracy politician and activist Alexei Navalny is comatose in a Siberian hospital following what medical experts say could have been intentional poisoning. Navalny, age 44, has been an active voice in opposing abuses and corruption under Vladimir Putin. He often publishes videos and essays detailing his discoveries, and has been imprisoned multiple times for his actions. While flying to Moscow, he fell ill with symptoms resembling poisoning, a method of assault used on numerous Russian dissidents in the past two decades.

Navalny was initially barred from being transported to Germany for specialist medical treatment, although this restriction was later lifted. He remains comatose. Sign below and demand that the Russian government allow a full independent investigation into his condition and its cause.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Chuychenko,

The condition suffered by opposition leader Alexei Navalny is deeply troubling, particularly in light of the numerous poisonings carried out against dissidents inside and outside of Russia in recent years. Mr. Navalny has worked tirelessly to provide the Russian people with the knowledge and transparency they should rightfully enjoy from your government.

If there is even the slightest possibility that he has been poisoned or otherwise attacked, it is your duty to allow that possibility to be investigated. I demand that you give independent investigators full access to records and personnel to determine what caused Mr. Navalny’s condition.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
