Critically Injured Young Dog with Multiple Skin Infections Deserves Justice

Target: Jerry Greene, Mahoning County, Ohio Sheriff

Goal: Find and arrest person who savagely abused young dog.

An eight to ten-month-old pit bull covered in multiple wounds was rescued by Animal Charity Humane Society after a concerned citizen called them to report the dog’s state. Whoever abused this animal needs to quickly be found and arrested to better ensure other animals in the area will be safe.

Numerous infections mark the dog’s skin. Much of his fur is also missing and it appears he was forcefully hit on the head. The injuries on the young pit bull were so severe, he had to have a blood transfusion. Veterinarians surmise the animal only has a 50 percent chance of surviving. He will also have to remain on long-term medicine if he lives. Because costs to treat him are extremely high, Animal Charity Humane Society must raise money through their website to try and save him.

A dog should never be treated in such a disgusting manner. Sign this petition to demand authorities continue to look for the person who neglected this dog, and to further insist they be put in prison for this unfounded animal abuse.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Sheriff Greene,

Animal Charity Humane Society recently rescued a dog that was found neglected, infected, and abused. If it had not been for the person who called to report the case, this dog would most likely be dead.

The animal has almost no fur, and he was so badly hurt that a blood transfusion was needed to keep him alive. There is only a 50 percent chance the dog will live. If he is lucky enough to get through the next few days, he will have to be on medication for a majority of his life. Even though the Humane Society is raising money through their website to help him, high veterinary cost may mean he will not survive as a result of this abuse.

Treating an innocent animal like this is inexcusable. We therefore demand you look for the person who neglected and hurt this dog, and that you further put them behind bars to hopefully avoid similar tragedies in the future.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
