Dog Reportedly Found Abandoned in Streets and Lethally Underweight Deserves Justice

Target: Chief Crown Attorney of Appeals and Special Prosecutions, Mark Scott

Goal: Give couple stringent legal sentence and re-home dog if they are found guilty of animal cruelty.

A malnourished boxer with wounds on his body was allegedly found roaming the streets by himself. Owners Jennifer Hurlburt and Matthew Hart were arrested soon afterwards for animal cruelty. They need to have their dog permanently taken away from them and be given a harsh punishment, if it is found they are responsible for mistreating this helpless dog.

According to authorities, the dog weighed approximately 30 pounds when he was found. Male boxers usually weigh around 70 pounds, which means this dog was apparently extremely underweight. A dog’s organs can shut down as a result of becoming too malnourished. Thankfully, he is now receiving veterinary care. However, if the allegations are true, he could have died had he not been found.

Sign this petition to demand these people not get their dog back if they submit an appeal to the court and to further demand they spend time behind bars, if they are found to be responsible for this inexcusable animal abuse.

Dear Chief Crown Attorney Scott,

Jennifer Hurlburt and Matthew Hart were arrested shortly after their dog was allegedly found walking around the streets emaciated. They need to spend time in prison, and this dog needs to be re-homed, if they are found guilty of animal cruelty.

Officials stated that the dog weighed about 30 pounds, which is grossly underweight for an adult male boxer. Oftentimes a dog’s organs will begin to shut down after they become emaciated, which can further lead to more serious health problems or even death.

Such abuse should not be tolerated, since giving a dog to a shelter is an option if adequate care cannot be provided. We therefore demand you suggest he not go back to his former owners and that the owners also be given a severe legal sentence, if they are found guilty of this pathetic neglect.

Animal Cruelty Offenders Face Federal Fines and Imprisonment – Animal cruelty is now officially banned across the United States, per President’s Trump signature on a federal document.

    Please proceed accordingly!
    Thank you!

  2. How obnoxious and greedy those two are – they surely deserve to be locked up for a good 10 to 20 years!
