Protect Homeless Migrant Children Forced to Sleep in Tent Cities

Target: Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, France

Goal: Grant assistance from child protection services to homeless children on France’s streets.

Hundreds of migrant children have nowhere to sleep but in makeshift tents in France’s cities, relying on aid groups such as Médecins Sans Frontières for food and medical care. These children, some as young as 14, aren’t legally recognized as children, instead being classified as adults due to outdated interview methods by government social workers.

A judicial decision on the status and fate of these children has been delayed for weeks, despite demands from a number of aid and advocacy groups and national institutions. In the meantime, these children are left uncertain and vulnerable to health risks including exposure and illness.

Sign the petition below to demand that the French government grant these children immediate recognition and assistance.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Darmanin,

Nearly one hundred children are living in a tent city in central Paris, with hundreds more in similar situations in towns and cities all over France. They have been denied assistance because social workers rely on inaccurate interview methods to determine the age of these young people, who must have their age verified to begin to receive help.

It’s shocking that the inaction of the French government has resulted in homelessness for these children. No child should be forced to rely on aid groups to meet basic needs such as food and shelter. I demand that you grant these children recognition as such and begin providing help.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

    This is disgraceful and inhumane.

What the United Nations need to do is off the coffee and doughnuts and start working on a plan to rid countries of dictators and assassins so people from those countries don’t have to migrate to other countries. There are many possible ways to take care of these countries dictators and assassins, if in doubt you may want to ask our US President how to do it with a drone. BooM!! Problem solved.
