Amazon: Stop Making Facial Recognition Tech Used For Racial Profiling

Cyber face - WallpaperFlare

Target: Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon

Goal: Stop producing facial recognition software that contributes to racial injustice.

Amazon has failed to take a stand against facial recognition software that contributes to racial profiling, even as other tech giants such as IBM have committed to cutting ties with this dangerous technology. Facial recognition software has been shown to disproportionately misidentify people of color, and can lead to racial profiling and wrongful charges when used by law enforcement.

In the midst of a growing national conversation around police brutality and systemic racism, Amazon must act decisively to take a stand against this technology that perpetuates injustice. Sign below to demand that Amazon follow IBM’s lead and stop producing facial recognition technology.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Bezos,

Protests across the nation are exposing the reality of systemic racism and police brutality. It is crucial for large corporations to examine their own role in perpetuating injustice at this time. IBM has taken a step in this direction by ceasing production of their facial recognition technology; will you do the same?

It has been widely shown that facial recognition technology disproportionately misidentifies people of color — a fact that is particularly significant in light of its use within police departments. This technology is poorly understood, poorly legislated, and capable of bearing truly dystopian consequences in the hands of law enforcement. I urge you to take a stand against racial profiling and police brutality by halting the production of all facial recognition technology.

Sincerely,

Customer support is independent of the number of agents, the size of the office, or the choice of technology. Customer support is the right solution to customer questions, concerns and feedback. This is why the optimization issue should be related to customer support as well. It sounds complicated, but we are ready to help with this wow24-7.io/chat I have been using their services for my business for a long time, so I can safely say that these guys know their job and do it perfectly.
