Demand Protection Against Voter Suppression in Georgia

Target: Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia

Goal: Protect the voting rights of Georgia’s citizens.

The State of Georgia is engaging in clear voter suppression. Lines in a recent election were reported to have taken seven hours or more to get voters into the polls. Claims of broken machinery, wrong paper ballots, and closed polling stations have brought into question Georgia’s ability to fairly and freely run elections. This disenfranchisement cannot be allowed to continue into the next election.

Regardless of who the person is voting for, voting is a right of all Americans of legal age to do so. Demand that the Governor of Georgia respect his citizens’ rights to vote, regardless of who they plan to vote for.

Dear Governor Kemp,

The right to vote is a central pillar of our country. Denying that vote to any American who has the right to do so is not only a legal crime, but an ethical one. Regardless of who they plan to vote for, whether its Republicans, Democrats, third party, or independent, a person’s right to vote being protected is essential.

Instead of working to suppress voters who might potentially oppose you, you should work to change your platform and reach out to these voters, not take away their voice. If you have any respect for this country and its traditions, you will honor the right to vote for all Georgians and make substantial changes to ensure that everyone can vote.
