Punish Person Who Shot Turtle and Rabbit With Bow and Arrow

Target: Essex County, Massachusetts District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett

Goal: Prosecute and punish person responsible for shooting animals with bow and arrow.

A turtle and rabbit were found running around with arrows in them after being viciously shot. The person committing these hateful acts needs to be found, arrested, and immediately prosecuted to better ensure that more animals will not be harmed.

Thankfully, the turtle was taken to the Turtle Rescue League rehabilitation facility. Sadly, police officers also found a rabbit wounded with an arrow a few days later. Unfortunately, authorities were not able to catch the rabbit in order to help. An animal that is shot with an arrow can go into systematic shock and quickly die. This rabbit is still running around in pain.

If the person responsible for committing these inexcusable crimes is not caught, many more animals could soon be hurt or killed. Demand that the person behind this cruelty is swiftly prosecuted, so other animals will be less likely to experience lasting injuries or painful deaths.

Dear District Attorney Blodgett,

A rabbit and turtle were found with arrows going through them within a few days of each other. Whoever is committing these unthinkable crimes needs to be quickly brought to justice so that other animals will be less likely to suffer the same fate.

While it is good news that animal control officers were able to capture and relocate the turtle to a nearby rescue facility, the rabbit is still running around pierced with an arrow and in pain. Oftentimes animals that are shot with arrows go into systematic shock, and they likely suffer intensely before passing away.

Animals in the area are in danger of being hurt or killed if this person is not soon put behind bars. We therefore demand that you seek the strictest legal sentence for this offender so more animals will not also have to needlessly suffer.
