Bring to Justice Owner of Dog who Froze to Death

Target: Angela Messer, Director of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Goal: Find those responsible for leaving a dog outside in 17-degree weather to freeze to death, and bring them to justice

Recently the body of a dog was found frozen to the ground outside a residence in Kensington, Pennsylvania. The owners of the property have not yet been found and will likely face animal cruelty charges. Those responsible must be located and severely punished for such a horrific crime.

The pit bull mix was left out over the weekend and was found lying halfway inside his doghouse frozen to the ground. Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) officers were notified after several complaints from the neighbors about smells coming from the property. Another pit bull and a Chihuahua were found inside. The house was filled with feces and trash and the furniture was turned over.

During the investigation officers also found a weighted dog collar similar to those used to build strength for dog fighting. The PSPCA is still looking for the owners of the property. Investigators have said they could face animal cruelty charges, but this isn’t enough. “Could” shouldn’t be an option for such an awful crime. The guilty party, or parties, should receive felony charges and the maximum sentence allowed for animal cruelty.

Please sign the petition below to demand that those responsible be found and brought to justice. This is only the beginning of the winter season and setting an example now could save the lives of hundreds of dogs and cats whose owners might consider leaving them outside an option.

Dear Angela Messer,

Recently your agency uncovered an almost unimaginable act of cruelty. A dog was found frozen to death, literally frozen to the ground, outside a residence in the town of Kensington. So far there have been no clues as to the location of the owner of the property and law enforcement has only hinted at the possibility of animal cruelty charges.

Do not allow those responsible to slip through the cracks. There is no reason why this case should not result in felony charges. Acts like this will never stop if the guilty parties can get away with it, or only get a slap on the wrist when they are caught. Please do whatever it takes to bring these people to justice.

  1. Cruelty charges are a MUST! Find out exactly who the owner(s) is and nail them.

What I would like to see done to these bastards who put their cats and dogs outside to suffer, and die, is have them chained to a post in only their skivvies, overnight. But that would be cruel 🙁

  2. quem maltratar animais tem de saber que será punido.

  3. dana cheuka says:

The owners of the dog need to be found and charges
filed. They shouldn’t be able to get away with animal cruelty. If more people are not held accountable, the more this will happen.

  4. Marlene Horn says:

Some people need to be taught the hard way, and stupid people like this need a severe punishment!.. That poor dog had a horrid a long death, people like this should NEVER be allowed to keep ANY animal atall again ever!!.. They are disgusting and i feel appalled by this, if they didn’t want to give the dog a loving home, they should have given it away to someone who would!…
Previous owner, read this your scum of the earth to treat an innocent animal that way that had to way of defending itself!!.. Rot in hell!

    • Those found to be guilty should be hung by that weighted collar over a bridge, only THEN will justice have been served!!!

  5. my hurt is so broken..what the hell is wrong with people..i hope Karma get your ass
