Trump: Stop Using “Obamagate” as a Distraction From Coronavirus

Target: Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America

Goal: Stop trying to divert attention away from the coronavirus crisis with vague “Obamagate” accusations.

President Trump is making unsubstantiated claims about his predecessor, Barack Obama, under the catchphrase “Obamagate.” Many believe the president is using “Obamagate” as a tactic to divert attention away from the looming coronavirus crisis. This comes at a time when the U.S. death toll has surpassed 85,000 and the government reported almost 3 million new unemployment cases.

Trump is accusing Obama of unspecified “crimes” and demanding he come before the Senate “to testify about the biggest political crime and scandal in the history of the U.S.A.” Trump is also claiming that Mr. Obama was the mastermind behind the 2017 investigation into Russian collusion.

Due to the diminishing approval of Trump’s response to the coronavirus in the United States, it is likely that the president is using “Obamagate” as a diversion tactic. Sign below to demand Trump stop using “Obamagate” as a distraction and instead focus his attention on the still growing coronavirus crisis.

Dear Mr. Trump,

The United States is still struggling with the many negative impacts of the coronavirus crisis. Citizens cannot afford to have a president that isn’t fully focused and committed to pulling us out of this disaster.

I demand that you stop using “Obamagate” as a distraction from the coronavirus and instead start focusing more on adequately responding to our country’s public health disaster.
