Stop Expelling Pregnant Girls from School

Target: Joyce Ndalichako, Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Vocational Training, Tanzania

Goal: Stop discriminating against pregnant schoolgirls by expelling them from their schools.

Pregnant schoolgirls in Tanzania are being expelled from their schools in an act of discrimination that must be brought to an end. Every girl deserves an education. Demand that the nation outlaw this practice.

Roughly 8,000 girls are expelled from school each year due to pregnancy. Some girls are forced to take pregnancy tests by their schools. Without an education, these young women have no choice but to live as stay-at-home mothers. They are denied the opportunity for education, careers, and economic advancement. This becomes a cycle of poverty that very few young women in the nation can break.

Every woman deserves an education, whether they have children to raise or not. A pregnant student should not be shamed, but should instead be applauded for her ability to continue her education. Sign the petition to demand that Tanzania end this discriminatory and outdated practice.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Ndalichako,

Every year, over 8,000 girls are expelled from school due to pregnancy. Over one million girls are out of school because they are having or have had a child. By banning girls an education, you are also banning them from economic or professional growth, creating a cycle of poverty impossible to break.

Every girl in your nation has a right to an education. Do not take this away from them. I demand you end this outdated and discriminatory practice of expelling pregnant students from school.

Sincerely,

  1. Don’t blame the girls. The bastard males must keep their cocks in their trousers. Always the girls that suffer. And the rotten male species gets away with it.
