‘Starved’ Dog With ‘Open Wounds’ Deserves Justice

Target: Michael T. Gmoser, Prosecutor for Butler County, Ohio

Goal: Punish the man who allegedly starved a dog nearly to death

A dog became seriously ill after he was seemingly starved and denied vital veterinary care. He appeared so emaciated that his bones showed through his skin. Demand justice for this innocent animal.

“No normal human being could look at this dog and think this is acceptable,” stated Sheriff Richard Jones of the Butler County Sheriff’s Department. He was called to a Reiley Township home by a concerned citizen who reported a severely emaciated dog. Upon arrival, the dog warden noted that the animal was covered in open wounds and his ribs were clearly visible. He also reportedly had no access to food or water. A thorough medical exam revealed that the pup had an untreated ulcer on his tongue that prevented him from eating and drinking.

The Humane Society and Animal Friends are working hard to save this suffering dog, but he is still in critical condition. Deputies arrested David Neanover on charges of cruelty to a companion animal. Sign below to demand that he receive the maximum penalty possible, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecutor Gmoser,

A dog is in critical condition after he was apparently starved nearly to the point of death. The pup also suffered from debilitating untreated wounds, per investigators. I demand that justice be served in this case.

The photos are shocking. A large dog, so emaciated that his ribs were visible, apparently lied on the ground in utter despair. Open wounds reportedly covered much of his body and an ulcer on his tongue prevented him from eating and drinking. Though, according to the Butler County Dog Warden, he had no access to food or water anyway. The dog is receiving emergency veterinary care, but he may not survive long enough to find the loving home that he deserves. His owner has been charged with cruelty to a companion animal. Is that enough to gain justice for this innocent pup?

No animal deserves to suffer as this dog apparently has under the care of David Neanover. I demand that you take a stand against animal abuse and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

    • Well I pray that that prosecuting attorney a Butler Ohio holds up to a good attorney to prosecute this piece of shit that did this to this helpless poor loving dog that did no harm to others and throw away the key for the person that did this or people that did this to this baby

Please contact the Butler County (Ohio) Prosecutor’s Office (513-887-3474) and ask them to refile as a felony charge pursuant to “Goddard’s Law”. The Felony Division Chief is Brad Burress.

    • I totally agree with you

  2. Unacceptable. This is horrible. This person should get a huge fine and go to prison . All the states need better animal welfare laws . Any abuse needs to be a felony . Should also be animal abuse registry.

That picture makes me cry. Look at that poor dog’s face – he’s asking, “Are you here to help me?” Prayers for him </3

Anyone who could watch an animal – any animal – deteriorate is a monster. I can't tell you what I'd like seen done with animal abusers. ALL animal abuse MUST become felonies. Animals depend on the goodwill of humans. When they're betrayed there should be severe penalties. NO excuses. Throw their asses in prison.

We've been talking, signing, sharing here and on other sites about a National Animal Abuser Registry. Let's make it happen!

If money were no object I'd put every abuser's face and info on the biggest, busiest billboards I could find, for all to see.

  11. This would have been murder if it were a child…plain and simple. Laws need to be the same for animals as they are for humans. THEY DON’T HAVE A VOICE!!! Punish this man with the maximum penalty, remove all animals from his and his wife’s/girlfriend’s home. White trash pieces of garbage this family.

Starve him and cut wounds in him, that will teach him. Never go near an animal again.!!
