Release Dogs Slated to Be Killed by Dow Chemical Company

Target: Jim Fitterling, CEO of the Dow Chemical Company

Goal: Stop the killing of beagles who were used in Dow Chemical testing.

Over three dozen beagles are slated to be put down after being used to test Dow AgroSciences’s new chemical, so that scientists can examine the extent of the damage to their organs. These dogs were among the lucky ones, as many of the 60,000 dogs captured for chemical testing every year die of poisoning while still in the labs. These particular dogs were kept locked in cramped cages and fed poisons every day, to the point where it is a miracle any of them survived at all.

This is beyond a double dose of animal cruelty. Not only is the testing of chemicals on innocent animals a disgusting and unethical practice, but now these dogs will be put to death simply because they have outlived their perceived usefulness. The company is regarding them as tools, as disposable objects rather than as the living creatures they are. These poor dogs are not even being given a chance at proper medical care, or the hope of recovering from a year full of horrifying mistreatment.

No animal deserves to live such a horrible life only to be killed once they are no longer seen as useful. The Dow company must release these poor animals immediately, into the care of animal rescue services and veterinarians, so that they may have a chance to recover and live. Sign this petition to stop the company from putting these innocent dogs to death.

Dear Mr. Fitterling,

Over three dozen innocent beagles at your testing facility in Michigan are slated to be put to death in July, after spending a year locked in cramped cages and fed dangerous poisons. This is doubly reprehensible: not only has your company engaged in animal testing, one of the worst types of animal cruelty, but now you intend to dispose of these poor animals as though they were tools, rather than living creatures.

Release these dogs immediately. Even with the amount of chemicals they have been fed over the last year, there may still be hope for their recovery if they are allowed proper medical care. You must hand these dogs over to an animal rescue service, so they may be properly cared for, rather than ending their lives. Dogs deserve better than to be treated as disposable objects.

  1. I do not know how these people sleep at night after the evil , immoral things they do to these lovely , trusting dogs . No living creature deserves this and it makes me feel really sick about what goes on .Let all these dogs have a chance and close the hell hole down . They are innocent dogs and have done nothing to deserve this

  2. We most definitely need to unite and do the same treatment to these bastard animal abusing bastards and their loved ones!!!!!!

    Dear Mr. Fitterling,
Please release these dogs over to an animal rescue service, so they may be properly cared for, rather than ending their lives. Dogs as well as any other ‘inocent’ animals deserve better than to be treated as disposable objects – don’t you think?
    Thank you!

Does it mean that less poisonous, i.e. poisonous any, pesticides are being studied? Please stop your dangerous experiments. and, most of all, release those cute little dogs.

  5. Alice Knight says:

No living creature deserves to be born to this world just to be used in such a barbaric form. Stop using these innocent victims as mere vessels. What a horrible position to have to uphold. I am curious,do you all go home feeling satisfied after experimenting and killing these innocent animals? Please stop this insensitive torturing.

“Vivisection is a social evil because if it advances human knowledge, it does so at the expense of human character.” George Bernard Shaw
“What I think about vivisection is that if people admit that they have the right to take or endanger the life of living beings for the benefit of many, there will be no limit to their cruelty.” Leo Tolstoy
