Justice for Dogs Publicly Beaten for Money

Target: President Xi Jinping, People’s Republic of China

Goal: Implement anti-cruelty laws in China to prevent horrific abuse and ensure that abusers are held accountable for their actions.

Video footage was captured of a man in China repeatedly punching his dog while the defenseless animal whimpered and cried out in pain. Sadly, this was not an isolated incident: in another video of the same man, he has another dog tied to a metal rail while he beats the dog with a stick. Neighbors who have captured these videos allege that this man intentionally hurts his dogs in public so that people passing by will be horrified enough to buy dogs on the spot in order to spare them more pain.

One of the most disturbing aspects of this situation is that there will be no punishment for the abuser — currently, China has no laws in place against domestic animal cruelty unless the animal is owned by another private party. Therefore, as it stands, it is technically legal for this man to continue this inhumane brutality. However, there is a growing movement in the Chinese public to put laws against animal cruelty into place. For the sake of many innocent creatures, this must happen as soon as possible. Sign below to demand protection and justice for these dogs and many others like them.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Xi Jinping,

China’s lack of animal welfare laws is unacceptable, and results in unchecked abuse of innocent creatures, sometimes even for the sake of profit and personal gain. One man allegedly abuses his dogs in public regularly, in the hope that witnesses will be horrified enough to purchase the poor animals on the spot to rescue them. Video has been captured of him tying up his dogs, punching them, and beating them with a stick.

The lack of legislation against this type of cruelty enables this abuser not only to walk free, but also to continue this selfish and unimaginable cruelty toward innocent creatures. This inhumanity must not be allowed to continue, and these animals deserve justice. I urge you to heed the call of an ever-growing number of China’s citizens, and make animal abuse illegal throughout China.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Half the petitions we sign are due to the lack of animal welfare in China but they do not seem to care what the rest of the world thinks of their lack of care in other sentient beings.
China must have one of the world’s worst record of abuse towards animals.
