A Panola County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Francis Louise Chlastak’s and Donnie Glen Chlastak’s home after he received reports of possible animal cruelty. Upon arrival, he reportedly found a dead dog hanging from a porch railing by a cable. The deputy spoke with Francis, who stated that she saw the dog struggling and called her husband. She reportedly did not attempt to help the dog herself. Donnie also failed to respond to the dying dog, the deputy reported, and he provided contradictory information regarding his knowledge of the situation.

Donnie Chlastak and Francis Chlastak have each been charged with animal cruelty. Francis was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond, but Donnie remains in jail. Sign below to demand that this couple receives the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Davidson,

A dog allegedly choked to death in a horrific case of animal cruelty. The suspects reportedly did nothing to save the dying dog after one of them found the poor animal hanging from a porch railing. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office charged Francis Louise Chlastak and Donnie Glen Chlastak with animal cruelty after they allegedly allowed their dog to choke to death. A deputy reportedly found the dead dog hanging from the Chlastaks’ porch railing by a cable. Francis claimed that she saw the dog struggling to breath and called her husband. Donnie reportedly did not return to the residence, and he provided contradictory information regarding his role. Neither Francis nor Donnie did anything to help the choking animal, police stated, resulting in the dog’s tragic death. Francis is now out on bond. Donnie remains in jail.

This alleged cruelty must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  5. Pat.Parran says:

Both these monsters should thrown in prison for years. Neither should be out on bail. They both watched the poor dog hang to death. Only sadistic sociopaths could be so heartlessly cruel. The terror. physical and psychological pain suffered by the defenseless dog was horrifying. They could have saved him–but chose to let him suffer and die as if tortured. purposely!
Donnie and Francis Chlastak should be charge with felony animal cruelty and never allowed near another animal–EVER!
There vicious inaction while the poor dog choked to death is reprehensible. Unless they are severely punished for a very long term–what will prevent them for harm to other animals. including the human type. These kind of demented freaks do not belong in this country–of part of the human population. anywhere.
