Reptiles Allegedly Abandoned and Dehydrated to Death Deserve Justice

Target: Andrew Medwid, Law Director for Ontario, Ohio

Goal: Demand that the woman who allegedly abandoned more than thirty reptiles without water or supervision receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

More than 30 reptiles were allegedly abandoned without water in a sad case of animal cruelty. Seven of the animals reportedly died due to prolonged dehydration. The suspect claimed that she checked on the animals just three days before they were found dead. Demand justice for these innocent reptiles.

“The house smelled terrible. The conditions of each of the tanks and containers was horrendous,” stated Officer Sam Robertson of the Ontario Police Department. Police investigated Lillian R. Shun’s former residence after they received reports of the front door being open. Three lizards, two snakes and two hermit crabs had died inside of the house, officers stated, and some of them were so dehydrated that their eyeballs fell out. Twenty-seven reptiles survived, and one died while receiving treatment at the humane society.

The humane society and a local rescue have taken custody of the surviving reptiles. Shun was charged with seven counts of animal cruelty. Sign below and demand that Shun receive the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Director Medwid,

Seven reptiles died, and many more suffered, when they were allegedly abandoned without water. The dead animals were reportedly so dehydrated that their eyeballs fell out of their heads. We demand justice for these poor reptiles.

Ontario police charged Lillian R. Shun with seven counts of animal cruelty after she allegedly moved away and left several reptiles behind to die. Per officers, the animals lived in uninhabitable enclosures and the house smelled terrible. Three lizards, two snakes, and two hermit crabs reportedly died, and their bodies hardened due to lack of water. Nearly thirty reptiles survived, and one died while receiving treatment at the humane society. Shun is expected to answer her charges at a later date.

This alleged neglect must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. Mr. Medwid, These reptiles deserve justice. Lillian Shun should be prosecuted and given Maximum Penalty! No Excuses! These were living and breathing creatures that were murdered by this monster!

  2. She sounds like a pathetic asshole who doesn’t deserve to live!
