Police brought the kittens to King Philip Animal Rescue, where they were given veterinary treatment. With no apparent suspects, police appealed to the public for any help in identifying the person responsible. Several people came forward, police stated, confirming that they were supposed to adopt the kittens from Alex T. Rodriguez.

The kittens suffered no serious injuries, thanks to their quick rescue, and they will soon be ready for adoption. Rodriguez was charged with five counts of animal cruelty and he will be summonsed to court for arraignment at a later date. Sign below and demand that Rodriguez receives the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Morrissey,

Five kittens suffered when they were allegedly abandoned by the side of a highway in dangerous heat. The suspect reportedly locked the kittens in a steaming hot carrier and left them to die. We demand justice for these innocent kittens.

Wrentham police charged Alex T. Rodriguez with five counts of animal cruelty after he allegedly abandoned five young kittens by the side of a highway. The kittens were trapped inside of a steaming hot carrier, police stated, and they only survived thanks to the kindness of a good samaritan. Police appealed to the public for leads and several people came forward, claiming that they were supposed to adopt the kittens from Rodriguez. The kittens were treated for fleas and are otherwise healthy. Rodriguez will be summonsed to court for arraignment at a later date.

This alleged cruelty cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. He needs to pay ALL vet. bills. Sizable contribution to a rescue shelter must be made, I would have him sit in a sweltering box for a while and throw him in a cell with Hannibal Lecter.

  2. This was a rotten, cowardly thing to do and totally stupid as there was an animal rescue shelter in the vicinity. He needs a severe punishment and a bill for the treatment of the kits.Make it a big one.

  3. He’s guilty. There are witnesses. He must be charged with a felony. Spend 5 years in jail (at least) with no early parole. Be charged with a $200,000 fine, and never be allowed to own or go near any animals ever again. He actually should be executed!

  4. POS . Thankfully they lived.

The judge should prosecute for 5 attempted murders, never to go near an animal again. His time can be spent in a box in all bad weather.
