Punish Alleged Fake Vets Accused of Performing Botched Neutering on Puppy

Target: Katherine Fernandez Rundle, State Attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida

Goal: Demand that the man and woman who allegedly performed a botched neutering procedure, leading to a puppy’s death, receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

A puppy suffered and died after he was reportedly subjected to a botched neutering procedure. The procedure was done by two untrained people posing as veterinarians, police stated. Demand justice for this innocent puppy.

Hialeah police arrested Jose Alvarez-Marrero and Sophia Gonzalez after they allegedly posed as licensed veterinarians and performed a botched neutering procedure on a puppy. Per police, they cut into Royalty, a bulldog, on a folding table and did not use sterile instruments during the procedure. Royalty suffered swelling and infection, reports stated, and he eventually became lethargic. On a follow-up visit, Alverez-Marrero and Gonzalez allegedly gave the puppy two injections and hooked him up to an IV of unknown fluid.

Royalty later died from his injuries. Alvarez-Marrero was charged with three counts of practicing veterinary medicine without a license and animal cruelty with an intent to injure or kill. Gonzalez was charged with animal cruelty and practicing veterinary medicine without a license. Sign below and demand that they receive the maximum penalty possibly by law, if convicted.

Dear State Attorney Rundle,

A puppy became fatally ill after he reportedly received a botched neutering procedure. The procedure was allegedly done in an unsterile apartment by two people posing as licensed veterinarians. We demand justice for this poor puppy.

Royalty, a bulldog puppy, endured days of suffering following a botched neutering procedure reportedly performed by Jose Alvarez-Marrero and Sophia Gonzalez. Per police, the pair posed as licensed veterinarians and performed the procedure atop a folding table. Royalty suffered swelling and bleeding during the procedure, police stated, and later became lethargic and sick due to infection. Royalty died from his injuries. Alvarez-Marrero and Gonzalez are each facing charges of animal cruelty and practicing veterinary medicine without a license.

The people responsible for this puppy’s death must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  1. Why????!!! Pose as vets? That poor pup, his pain and suffering. After giving them the death penalty there is a special place in hell for these two.

  2. Why a fake vet? Nothing should suffer. Sad.
