Prosecute Teacher Accused of Feeding Puppy to Snapping Turtle

Target: Lawrence Wasden, Attorney General of Idaho

Goal: Prosecute and suspend teacher charged with animal cruelty for allegedly feeding sick puppy to snapping turtle.

Idaho teacher Robert Crosland allegedly fed a sickly dog to a snapping turtle during class, and was just recently charged with animal cruelty. He is currently awaiting trial, and if found guilty, he will face up to six months in jail and a $5,000 fine. It is unknown as to whether his employment will be terminated, regardless of the trial’s outcome.

Animal rights activists are outraged at Crosland’s alleged cruelty, while several students reportedly claimed it was “okay, since the dog was going to die anyway.” Regardless of how much longer the dog had to live, that is not a valid excuse to do something as sick and vile as feeding them to another animal in front of a class of minors. If the dog truly was not much longer for this world, the humane thing to do would have been to take them to a vet for legal euthanization.

Unfortunately, Crosland’s reputation as a cool teacher may stand in the way of him receiving the sentence his alleged actions deserve. We must ensure that this man faces justice for his alleged cruelty. Sign this petition to demand Crosland face justice and be suspended from his position at the school if found guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Wadsen,

A local teacher has been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly feeding a sickly dog to a snapping turtle. Such alleged actions were not only horrific, but completely unnecessary, as the humane thing to do would be to have a vet legally euthanize the dog if they were truly too sick to continue living. Worse, several students reportedly claimed this was “okay” due to the dog’s ill health, much to the horror of animal rights activists who worry that this will teach students that animal cruelty is acceptable.

You must ensure that Robert Crosland not only faces justice, but that his employment is suspended or even terminated if he is found guilty. Animal cruelty is never an acceptable option, regardless of the animal’s condition or how long they have left to live.

Sincerely,

  1. Throw away the key and let the inmates get him. The fines are pathetic . Counsel the children on How sicko murdered an animal and caused him horrific terror and agonizing pain.
They should have screamed and run for help
