Justice for 20-Year-Old Allegedly Beaten by Police Officers

Target: Robert Regalbuto, Wildwood Police Chief

Goal: Fire police officers who reportedly held down and punched a woman in the head repeatedly.

Emily Weinman is a 20-year-old woman who was relaxing on the beach with her 18-month-old daughter, her daughter’s father, and a friend when police officers allegedly held her down and hit her repeatedly. The officers reportedly asked Emily for her name and age and were interested in her underage drinking. According to witnesses, the police officers grabbed her and then began punching her repeatedly.

If that wasn’t enough, this young woman’s breathalyzer allegedly came back negative. This whole situation could have easily been avoided, but these police officers allegedly decided to take it too far. Police brutality needs to come to an end. Police officers do not have the right to use excessive force in matters such as this. Emily deserves justice for these police officers’ alleged actions. Demand that the police officers reportedly involved be fired from the Wildwood Police Department.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Regalbuto,

Emily Weinman is a 20-year-old woman from Philadelphia. She spent Memorial Day weekend trying to relax and spend time with her 18-month-old daughter when she was allegedly attacked by two officers from the Wildwood Police Department. These officers were allegedly trying to apprehend her for underage drinking. Even so, they reportedly used excessive force by punching her in the face several times and holding her down. There is no excuse for these actions. This woman was unarmed, and using police brutality violates several human rights.

In the video, you can reportedly hear the woman shouting, “You’re not allowed to hit me and choke me like that,” and, “I didn’t do anything wrong.” Even if this was not the case, the amount of forced allegedly used was excessive, and cops should not be allowed to abuse their power. We demand that the cops allegedly involved in this incident be fired from the police department.

Sincerely,
